Mamook is a multi-functioning wellness practice on the rove, currently traveling from the Washington coast to Santa Fe, NM. Wellness is seen and practiced with a holistic ecological perspective. Human health equates to world health. This interdependency is put into practice through community gatherings, massage and bodywork, sound healing, meditation, forest bathing, and wellness education.
The term Mamook is Chinook jargon for “to do”, “to make”, “to perform”, “to create”, and is used to both honor the first peoples of Chinook Illahee (the Cascadia Bioregion), and the potential creative energies inherent in us all, toward health and healing.
